This is the first time I am posting a placement related information. I recently attended Aricent placement drive on 18th oct. The test consisted of 3 parts
1- Aptitude
2- Group interview
3- Critical interview (soft skill+ technical)
1- Aptitude
The questions were very easy in the first two sections. RS Agarwal (verbal and non verbal reasoning is more than enough).
The questions were like
a company has eligibility crieteria as follows
UG 70%; PG 60%
additional info: If a guy has 67% in UG and is a state player of any sport he is referred to director…
The question was like this and you are given a scenario considering all these. there were 2-3 questions on data interpretation like this.
4 images will be given and you have to choose the next image from the choices.
The next section was Datastructures and algorithms. It was a bit tough. You have to be really good in the basics
the questions would be from sorting, searching, time complexity of all sorts and search.
Be sure in those.
the last section was to choose any one question paper C/ C++/ Java
I chose C++ because I know very little in C and Java.
Totally u would be given 4 question papers.
I cleared the first round. Then we were asked to come on a later date or interview
We had group interview where a scenario has 2 views and u would be given any 1 view. u have to stick to that and speak. Just speak, because this is not an elimination round. You just have to speak. They are seeing your confidence level.
After that we had one-on-one interview. That interview had 2 parts technical and soft skill. After the result of aptitude test we were given a form where we have to explain a real life situation where we were the key part in the operation of the situation. You have to explain your expirence quoted on the form when u were asked in the personal interview.
The next part was technical interview which was taken subsequently by the same person.
He asked me
1) what is a pointer?
2) can you give me a simple program for function returning pointer?
pass 2 arguments for it and get a value and display it.
3) can you write the syntax for structure?
4) can u write a program to get a name from user and print it on the screen?
5) what will happen if the array size is exceeded?
6) is a[10]=0 a correct expression?
7) what is the difference between C and C++?
8) what is encapsulation?
9) what is polymorphism?
10) what are the types of polymorphism
11) what are the cpu scheduling algorithms you know?
12) what is round robin scheduling?
13) what are the disadvantages of priority scheduling?
14) what are the layes in osi model
15) protocols in each layer
16) difference between tcp and udp
The results are yet to be announced… But I know I did nt do the C and C++ part that well….
SO GUYS THE ULTIMATE POINT OF WRITING THE WHOLE THING IS…. PREPARE SERIOUSLY… I PREPARED VERY WELL BUT I DUNNO WHAT WILL HAPPEN…
TAKE THE INTERVIEW SERIOUSLY… PREPARE AND GO… AND IF U R ALREADY PLACED AND HOLDING AN OFFER (OR WAITING FOR JOINING AND U R SURE YOU WILL DEFINITELY GET IT VERY SOON)
PLEASE ALLOW OTHERS TO GET PLACED AS WELL… THEY TOO NEED A START IN THEIR CAREER…..
