I hd off-campus for 2007 btch on 22 november 2006 in BANGALORE

18 colleges partcipated accounting nearly some 850 sstudents….

Usually the interview procedure will consist of foll rounds:

I.APTITUDE

II.TECH INTERVIEW

III.HR INTERVIEW

…….APTITUDE…..

It consists of foll 3 sections:
*verbal eng(15 Q):-refer GRE barron’s,high school grammar book(prepositions,passive-active,fill n the appro word,arrange the given set of stmts in meaningful manner,punct,choose the word with correct spellin)
this sec is the easiest of all….see to t that u answer 10 perfectly…..
*analytical(15 Q):-for this we gotta b thorough with RS agarwal(time n work,speed n dist,ages,profitn loss,discounts…etc..),logic reasonin,
this sec ws vry tough for us..I could solve only 9 perfectly…..
*technical(20 Q):-It ws very easy for us……It covered c,c++,unix,networks,operating system,few h/w related que,conversion of hexa to deci,
I answered 18 perfectly…..

usually Wipro has a lower cut-off on each section…..
i.e., 9-10,9-10,12-14
If u r runnin out of time,make good guesses by reading thru d que once…

nw,We hd PPt abt wipro….concentrate wen he/she tells abt six-sigma…????

Believe me or not…..this round is the elimination round….so u gotta b thorough wit ur stream subjects…
IT-students hv to be thorough with c,c++,data structures,ADA,OS,software engineering,unix,logic design(MUX,DEMUX….)
non-IT students shud also know the basics i.e.,c,c++(t s a MUST)

whatever u mention in the resume…b thorough with it….If u hd done ny projects n ur previous semesters….b perfect in that……

the que that wer asked for me was:

I entred d room,wishd him..shook hands…

1. xplain abt ur project(bth 1 n 2) t took nearly 10-15 min to ans tis que..
i hd done 2 projects…..I totally impressed him throu ma 1st proj….wen i started with 2nd one…he said “no,don wan…! seems u kno t too.”
2. diff b/w virtual func n pure virtual func?n wer is t used…?? i didn kno its appln,I said “No..!idea”
3. diff b/w c n c++?
4. que on poly morphism,inheritance along with examples…
5. wht s the default access level in case of a structure? ans:public
6. wht s d diff b/w paging & segmentation,how do they serve our purposes..?
7. prove 5=8…
8. Xplain bubblesort n derive its time complexity n space complexity….??
9. code to xchg 2 numbers without usin a 3rd var….
10. Name some unix commands used by a sys admin n xplain each…???I named some 5…
11. y shud v hire you….????Be +ve,tel somthin abt d comp n abt ur performance den correlate…
12. wht do u think abt ur performance in tis rnd…???I said “I think,I did well..! n i deserve his comp….!”
He rplied by laughing….”Yes Ranjan..!u deserve this…take this form n get ready for ur HR..Al de bst..!!!”

I ws felicitous…..I ws flying high in the sky….
I hd tech rnd for 35 min….
aftr tech rnd,if u get a form 4m d interviewer or 4m somone….ts guranteed that u r only a few inches awzy 4m wipro…..

So now,u gotta fill d form…with utmost care….cos the HR ll refer to this form n ask u d Que…..Be Bold enuff…
u shud remebe wht al u hv filled…

Be enthusiastic,don get outwear…..

she asked abt ma strengths…hd to xpln…wch i did
Educatinal bkgnd….
y wipro….? u got to impress by sayin somethin abt d comp,ts std,ts domains….
hw mny comp hv u attended so far…y didn u clear them…??? don blame d comp…jus tel..ur prep ws not upto the mark..or somthin like tat..
wht abt ur career plan….????
who s ur role-model….???

Believe in yaself n ALMIGHTY(god)……..

Apart 4m prob solvin skills n sound tech knowledge …U shud hv a gud body language,well disciplined,a good listener …..
The way u carry yourself in tech n HR…..is really imp….

The results wer announced d next day……I got selected……!
